Coffee is 98% water. Therefore, the highest quality water is essential for the best possible coffee experience. The JURA CLARIS Pro Smart+ revolutionizes water filtration. Thanks to advanced RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology, a coffee machine can, for the first time, communicate continuously with the filter. It detects whether a filter has been inserted and automatically activates the corresponding mode. It constantly collects information about filter usage and informs the user when the filter capacity is exhausted. This not only simplifies filter changes but also allows the CLARIS Smart to achieve optimal efficiency.

The CLARIS Pro Smart+ operates on the professional upflow principle, filtering precisely the amount of water needed for each brew. This ensures efficient use of the filter. Pre-filtered water never remains in the water tank, where it could quickly become unhygienic. In addition to limescale, it also filters out heavy metals and substances that impair odor and taste, such as chlorine. Health-promoting minerals are retained in the water. The result: pure water for perfect specialty coffees and optimal protection against limescale buildup in your coffee machine.

Automatic Filter Detection:
JURA uses modern RFID technology for communication between the filter and the coffee machine. Every machine with an Intelligent Water System (IWS®) detects when a filter is inserted, automatically switches to filter mode, and starts the rinsing process. When the filter capacity is almost exhausted, the machine prompts the user to change the filter. If the filter is not changed, the machine activates descaling mode. After a certain period of use, the machine prompts the user to descale. This can only be done if the filter is removed, thus eliminating the possibility of user error due to misunderstandings.
